TR/TDSS.Gen2 is a malicious Trojan infection which can cause system black screen where the virus would try to initialize. When you try to log on the window with safe mode with networking, it will pop up as blue screen. It can act as a spy that tries to cause the desktop lost (along with the background) and several Operation System files appear to have been damaged.
